Big update....okay, not really but I got you excited, huh! Well, this last Thursday was Dave's Birthday and I wanted to make it super fun and special....I got sooooooooo lucky because one of his favorite bands Yellowcard was playing down town Boise on his Birthday. Of couse I got tickets! The band played at a club type thing called the Big Easy....I will never go to another concert there again! It was the worst experience ever....Let me start out by telling you we waited forever for that thing to start....the concert itself was late which totally bugged....and then we had to listen to 3 bands before Yellowcard....yes....I said 3! Two of the three were okay....but the one was terible! It was like a one man band type thing, you couldn't hear what he was singing and he looked like a really interesting woman with a man face....I don't know what was going on with that....
But the worse part....the part that made me soooo mad....as Dave and I were listening to the first band that came on, this big guy (short and round) pushed through the crowd acting like there was a huge emergency, it scared me, I thought someone passed out or got hurt or something and he pushed me and a bunch of other people out of the way.....was there an emergency....I don't think so, he just wanted to create enough room for his 15 friends that wanted to get ahead of us....ohmigosh he made me so mad! It scared me how he physically pushed me just to create room for his friends. The man pissed me off, okay.....and about five minutes later, he grabed ahold of someones hand and ushered five more people to join his group.....by that time, I wasn't having it! I will tell you right now.....I lost it! I snapped! The next thing I knew, I started pushing back.....I couldn't believe my adreniline....I started pushing almost anyone who stood in front of me and those last five people had no idea what they were in for....I pushed them really hard and yelled, "if you want to get in front....you better the the hell in front"
It's safe to say, I've never quite snapped like that before, on numerous occasions I wish I would have and believe me....I wanted to, but never have. I was not going to let this big fat guy bully me....I have too many memories of the first one who pushed me down because my best friend Bonnie threw a rock and hit his balls on accident....
But on a positive side....Yellowcard was really fun to see play. At the end of the concert I was glad I went and I really hoped Dave had a good time.
